National Assembly speaker Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula's application to interdict her arrest amid corruption allegations is expected to be heard in the high court in Pretoria.
The National Prosecuting Authority confirmed the application will be heard on Monday.
Mapisa-Nqakula is attempting to interdict her arrest in the corruption probe against her.
This comes after the NPAs Investigating Directorate raided her Johannesburg home last week.
She is accused of receiving millions of rand bribes from an army contractor during her time as the defense minister.
"Gauteng Division of the High Court, Pretoria to hear interdict application by Speaker of Parliament. She is seeking an order interdicting NPA's ID from arresting her." said NPA said in a statement
"The NPA's ID will oppose the application as we believe it is baseless and has no merit."
