Massive cold front sweeps through the country

The South African Weather Service (SAWS) says South Africans can expect patches of snow as the cold front makes its way across various provinces on Friday and Saturday.
Forecaster Lulama Peme says the snowfall can be expected over the Drakensberg mountains.
“We are going to get patches of snowfall over the Drakensberg that is today and tomorrow and our temperatures over Pretoria are expected to drop tomorrow.”

Temperatures in Johannesburg are expected to reach 16 degrees on SAturday, while Pretoria is expected to be at a high of 18 degrees.
This is the third significant cold front to make landfall so far this winter.
