Massive jewellery heist at Joburg warehouse

Police
are investigating a massive jewellery heist at a Johannesburg warehouse.
An unknown number of suspects robbed the jewellery warehouse in Bryanston of R300 million worth of merchandise on Friday night.
The Sunday Times reported that the warehouse belongs to billionaire businessman Johann Rupert.
According to police the suspects, who were armed with pistols, entered the premises and held security guards up at gunpoint.
"The suspects then proceeded to the warehouse and broke down the security doors,” said Gauteng police spokesperson, Mavela Masondo.
"They took an undisclosed amount of jewellery.
"A case of business robbery has been opened and no arrests have been made yet.”
