Updated | By Karabo Tebele
Limpopo Premier Stan Mathabatha and his executive have signed performance agreements ahead of the State of the Provincial Address on Thursday.
Mathabatha told MPLs during his address that the agreements will be implemented with immediate effect.
He also gave an assurance that the performance contracts will hold the MECs to account.
"The deliverables contained in the agreement include improve service delivery, ensuring good governance and sound financial management,” said Mathabatha.
"These agreements will also help us to hold MEC's accountable in relation to the work we have mandated them to perform.”
Mathabatha says the provincial government has not been fingered in wrongdoing in connection with the procurement of Covid-19 services.
"We are awaiting the finalisation of the investigation. However, we know that the preliminary investigation outcomes both by the SIU and auditor-general have not found any criminality or wrongdoing with regard to our procurement of Covid-19 PPE in the province."
