Mbeki new chancellor of Unisa
Updated | By JacarandaFM News
The University of South Africa (Unisa) has officially inaugurated former South African President Thabo Mbeki as its new chancellor.

Chairperson of the Unisa Council, Sakhi Simelane says they hope Mbeki's servant leadership will shape Unisa moving forward.
Simelane says several Unisa staff members never had the opportunity to participate in any function with the chancellor.
"In an attempt to change this, we decided that it would be appropriate that the inauguration of this chancellor with his tradition of serving leadership and mantra of people first, takes place in the presence of as many Unisa staff as possible," says Simelane.
