The police in Limpopo have arrested three suspects in connection with a cash-in-transit heist on the R37 in Mecklenburg near Sekhukhune on Saturday.

Two suspects were arrested in Mpumalanga and one in Burgersfort on Sunday.
Police spokesperson Hlulani Mashaba said the suspects were searched, and an undisclosed amount of money and used cartridges of an AK-47 firearm were recovered.
During the robbery on Saturday, one security guard was shot dead while two others sustained injuries.
"Preliminary information indicates that the suspects were on bail for a similar case that occurred in 2018 in Sekhukhune District.
"The three suspects were arrested for robbery with aggravating circumstances and murder. More arrests are expected at this stage," said Mashaba.
The suspects are expected to appear before Mecklenburg Magistrate's Court on Tuesday, facing charges of robbery with aggravating circumstances and murder.
They will then appear again before Moroke Magistrate's Court on 22 January on similar charges for alleged crimes committed previously.
