Memorial service for Sfiso Ncwane in Soweto

Ncwane passed away aged 37 after suffering from kidney failure.

He's known for hits such as 'Kulungile baba'.

Hundreds of fans gathered to celebrate his life.

Promoter Bruce Kgapane says Ncwane's death has shown him that life is too short and that tomorrow is not guaranteed. 

"He became one of my favourite artists, because of his business ethics and his respect for elders. I thank God that I organised another gospel festival and featured Sfiso as always, but not knowing that it was his last performance," says Kgapane.

Ncwane's wife, Ayanda, had a message to her husband read out by her sister.

"I am one of the few privileged wives who could claim and brag about the forever, together. You gave me a once in a lifetime experience kind of love, made me feel and treated like a princess and a queen all at once," read Ayanda's sister.
