Men escape injury after light aircraft crashes in JHB

Two men escaped serious injury Wednesday afternoon after their light aircraft crashed in a field in Johannesburg, paramedics said.
ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring said the incident occurred off Republic Road in Midrand. "Paramedics, along with Fire Services, received the call and immediately responded to the scene."
Meiring said on their arrival, paramedics found the light aircraft lying overturned in the veld. "Two men were found walking around the aircraft."
Paramedics assessed the patients and found that both men had escaped serious injury.
The cause of the crash is not yet known but local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
