Meshoe has been in self-quarantine at his home for the past 22 days after testing positive for the virus.

“Today I can report that I’m healthier that I was this time last year… I am hoping that within the next five to ten days I will go for a second test so that we finally bury this matter.

“It’s an anomaly that on paper you’re positive but your body is healthy. It’s a contradiction, it is a mystery. It is a mystery that the Department of Health or Minister (of Health Zweli Mkhize) himself must resolve. How do you say a person is positive when they are not sick for more than 21 days?”

Meshoe believes there will be a question mark next to the equipment used in the first round of testing, should the second test come back negative.

“They come from China? A number of countries have complained that they are sending out to countries, to Africa contaminated test kits, because there is an agenda that we will talk about one day.”
