Metallica to headline at the Apollo
Updated | By Shayling Guy
There will be a different type of Sandman featured at the Apollo next month.

A sandman of a different kind will feature at the Apollo theatre next month.
The 21st of September will mark the day that heavy metal kings, Metallica, bring their unmistakeable sound to the Harlem venue. This even heralds the promotion of their 3D, part concert, part action film - Metallica Through the Never, which is set to be released over IMAX and cinema theatres. The concert-film will also air live on a Metallica channel on SiriusXM temporarily created for this special event.
Bruce Springsteen and Paul McCartney, James Brown, and even the king of pop; Michael Jackson have headlined sold-out events at the Apollo theatre, a venue revered for pioneering black entertainers' careers.
It's quite fitting that the Apollo, which is famed for it's Sandman character, will play host to Metallica's hit song, Enter Sandman
