Metro police investigating video showing one of its vehicles doing 'doughnuts'
Updated | By ECR Newswatch
Durban Metro Police have launched an internal disciplinary process into a viral video that shows one of its vehicles being used to do 'doughnuts' at an intersection in Springfield, Durban.

The video has been shared widely on social media, and shows the car doing several doughnuts (a manoeuvre in which a vehicle spins in circles) and causing a hindrance to other vehicles trying to pass through the area.
The occupant of the vehicle eventually drives off.
Metro Police's Sbonelo Mchunu says an inquiry will follow once the investigation is complete.
"Normally what happens is there is a investigation and then there will be recommendations by the investigator, and then the matter will be taken to a disciplinary enquiry where allegations will then be deferred to the accused. The accused will be given the opportunity to legally defend himself or herself, and then there will be a finding by a neutral presiding officer," he said.
