Metrorail crash leads to major delays
Updated | By JacarandaFM News
Metrorail says trains will be delayed by up to 60 minutes on Wednesday morning.

This comes after a train travelling from Elandsfontein to Tembisa derailed at Elandsfontein station on the East Rand on Tuesday afternoon.
Metrorail spokesperson Lillian Mofokeng says 19 commuters suffered minor injuries and were transported to nearby hospitals.

She says due to the derailment, not al the lines could be re-opened through the night.
"There are only three lines that will be opened and operational as supposed to the normal four lines," says Mofokeng.
Once the derailed train has been cleared, the technical team will start repairing the damage to the affected line.
