Five train coaches have been gutted in a fire at the Wonderboom Train Station in Pretoria North.
Tshwane EMS says on arrival they found four train coaches engulfed in flames.
"We received the call at around 16:30. We had to wait for an electrical certificate to ensure the power had been switched off before we could douse the flames," Tshwane EMS spokesperson Johan Pieterse says.
No one had been injured.
The blaze has since been extinguished.
"We are still busy with damping down operations. It will likely take another hour," Pieterse adds.
The cause of the fire is not known at this stage and will be investigated.
There are reports that commuters had set the train alight.
