Mexico seizes big cocaine haul in German-flagged ship
Updated | By AFP
Mexican authorities have seized 169 kilograms of cocaine found in a German-flagged ship at a port in the northern state of Tamaulipas.

The drugs were found on Sunday by navy, customs and attorney general's office personnel in the Monte Oliva ship at the port of Altamira, prosecutors said.
The cocaine was in 150 packages hidden inside five suitcases that had been placed in a container.
The state of Tamaulipas, which borders the United States, is one of the most violents in Mexico as the Gulf and Zetas drug cartels have fought for control of drug trafficking operations for years.
