Massive rhino horn bust in Hong Kong
Updated | By Neo Motloung
The environmental affairs department has welcomed the arrest
of two rhino traffickers in Hong Kong, together with the seizure of 40 kilogram's worth of rhino
horn.

The horns were en route from Johannesburg to Vietnam when authorities intercepted the cargo.
The department's spokesperson, Albi Modise, says the bust followed a joint investigation by the department and authorities in Hong Kong.
"South Africa in the previous year recorded a decline in terms of the number of rhinos which were killed. It's the first time in five years we saw less than a 1000 rhinos killed."
It is reported that the horns were found in two check-in carton boxes, destined for Ho Chi Minh City.
The horns are estimated at R14 million.
