Minimum wage agreement lauded
Updated | By JacarandaFM News
A minimum wage of R20 an hour is a good start for South Africa.
That's according to Federation of Unions of South African (Fedusa) General Secretary, Dennis George, who says they signed an agreement with other labour and business organisations as well as government.
George says legislation on the matter now needs to be finalised, but implementation will not start until 2018.

"There will be a period between now and May 2017 when public consultation will need to take place," says George.
Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa is expected to announce the details in Cape Town later today.
