Minister congratulates Caster Semenya

The Minister in the Presidency responsible for Women, Susan Shabangu congratulated Caster Semenya for winning the 800 meter qualifying heat at the 2016 Rio Olympics.
Shabangu has lauded Semenya for qualifying for the finals in the face of great adversity, saying it is a clear demonstration of her resilience and strength of character.
"This paves a way for her to participate in the finals on Saturday and I wish her well in her item," the statement read.
"On behalf of Government and all the people of South Africa, we call on Semenya to remain strong knowing that South African and many other countries are behind her. We will always be proud of her", Minister Shabangu said.

Caster Semenya comfortably won her heat at the games yesterday and after the race she told the world that everything is still going according to her plan.
She also encouraged all the South African atheletes who are still going to participate in the Olympic Games, to do their best for South Africa.
