Minister Motshekga to visit families of Bronkhorstspruit crash victims

Basic Education Minister Angie Motshekga will visit the families of the 18 learners who passed away in Friday's horrific crash, involving a truck and a minibus taxi, near Bronkhorstspruit.
The department's spokesperson Elijah Mhlanga says the minister will be accompanied by Gauteng and Mpumalanga Education MECs Panyaza Lesufi and Reginah Mhaule.

"The Department of Basic Education will work together with the Education Departments of Gauteng and Mpumalanga to support the families through this most trying of times," says Mhlanga.
A total of 20 people died in the accident on the R25.

Mpumalanga Department of Community Safety, Security and Liason spokesperson Joseph Mabuza says government officials are assisting families in identifying the bodies of those killed in the horror crash.
