Minister Motsoaledi to testify in murder trial of Bloem businessman
Updated | By Nokukhanya Mntambo
Home Affairs Minister Aaron Motsoaledi has been summoned to appear before the Free State High Court on Thursday in the murder trial of slain Bloemfontein CityMed managing director, Louis Siemens.

Motsoaledi is accused of receiving bribes from the businessman during his reign as health minister.
Siemens was shot and killed in the basement parking lot of a shopping complex in Bloemfontein in 2018.
Local businessman Stanley Bakili and seven others are standing trial for the killing.
In an affidavit filed in court Bakili stated that he paid two separate amounts, R84 000 and R70 000 into Motsoaledi's bank account in 2017.
The affidavit described Motsoaledi's involvement as stemming from a moratorium on the awarding of contracts and appointments at the provincial health department from 2013 to September 2017.
The former health minister has denied the claims.
The court is set to hear his version of events.
