Minor glitches as Gauteng matric exams kicks off
Updated | By Amo Maledu
The Gauteng education
department says it has been a relatively smooth start to this year's matric
exams.
Spokesperson Steve Mabona says besides a delay in the writing of an exam in Ekhuruleni, everything else went well.
''We had technical glitches with a school in Ekhuruleni that has 400 students and asked the national department of education to postpone an examination with an hour.”
Mabona says there were no issues reported at any of the province's other schools.
Matric final examinations officially kicked off yesterday.
There have not been any reports of irregularities over the first two days.
