MK party ‘redeploys’ youth leader Bonginkosi Khanyile

Bonginkosi Khanyile has been removed from his position as MK Party interim youth leader.

The newly formed party confirmed the Fees Must Fall activist's removal in a letter sent to him.
The Gauteng youth leader, Philani Gazuzu, and interim deputy president, Thapelo Maisha, have also been removed from their respective positions.
The Former Fees Must Fall activist and July 2021 unrest suspect was previously an Economic Freedom Fighter student activist.
He then joined Patriotic Alliance in 2022, led by Gayton McKenzie.
Khanyile was dismissed from the PA in December after he was seen speaking at an MK rally.
Sihle Ngubane said that Khanyile will now be an ordinary member of the Youth League.
“We normally don’t give reasons for the internal party’s decisions to remove or appoint people. So, with this removal, there are no reasons as well. We are all appointed here as interims; we are serving solely to take the party to the May 29th elections.
“So, anyone can be removed at any time because these are not permanent positions. Also, taking into consideration whether the person is performing or not.”
