Mkhwebane: Ramaphosa misled Parliament
Updated | By Sibahle Motha
Public Protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane has found that President Cyril Ramaphosa deliberately misled parliament.
She released a report on Friday following a complaint by Democratic Alliance (DA) leader Mmusi Maimane last year.

The complaint was in relation to an answer given by Ramaphosa in Parliament on a R500 000 donation by Bosasa to his campaign to be elected president of the African National Congress (ANC) in 2017.
“The statement made by President Ramaphosa in November in his reply to Mr Maimane’s question was misleading,” Mkhwebane told reporters at a packed news conference.
The public protector has referred her remedial action to National Assembly Speaker Thandi Modise for her to take appropriate action.
“He deliberately misled Parliament, in that he should have allowed himself sufficient time to research on a well-informed response,” she said.
