Mooiplaas fire leaves 70 homeless

At least seventy people were left without a home on Monday when a fire ripped through the Mooiplaas informal settlement in Centurion.
Approximately twenty-seven shacks were destroyed during the blaze.
Tshwane Emergency Services spokesperson Charles Mabaso says the fire has been extinguished.
"We have activated our disaster management. They are on scene to determine what form of assistance could be offered to the people that have been affected by the fire."
It is unclear what led to the fire.

"Our team on scene will conduct interviews and other forms of investigation to try get an understanding as to what might have caused the fire," says Mabaso.
No injuries have been reported.
