Most KZN beaches to be closed on the weekend
Many beaches along KwaZulu-Natal's coastline will be closed this weekend following forecasts of heavy rains, flooding and "big seas", the province's Sharks Board said.
Beaches that would remain open are Umhlanga Main, Durban, Ansteys, Amanzimtoti, Winkelspruit, Trafalgar, Leisure Bay, and those between Sunwich Port and Margate, the board's operations manager Greg Thompson said in a statement.
"For your own safety, please check the latest bathing status at the lifeguard station at the beach before entering the water," he said.
No further details were provided, and attempts to reach him were unsuccessful.
