Most metro bus drivers reported for work
Updated | By MornéJK
The Metrobus transport company confirmed on Wednesday morning that most of its driver reported for work this morning with services expected to return to normal today.
According to Metrobus' Esther Dreyer it was too early to say if all services would be back to normal, but she confirmed that all their drivers reported for duty.
"I can't say it is a 100 percent attendance, but we are getting there," Dreyer said.
This comes after bus drivers went on strike last Friday following the outsourcing of certain positions within the company.
"Drivers were unhappy because we appointed an external company to do inspections on the busses," she added.

Dreyer also said that while they are retaining the external company, they will also allow driver who are interested the opportunity to go for training to become inspectors.
"Those who are interested in training are more than welcome to go for training to become inspectors," Dreyer concluded.
