Mother and daughter hacked to death in KZN
A mother and her 2-year-old daughter have been attacked and killed in their home in Phoenix, north of Durban.
Residents heard screams coming from the Mount Royal property on Wednesday and went to investigate.
Police say mom and daughter were hacked with a bush knife by someone known to them.

The suspect is on the run and police have launched a manhunt.
KZN VIP Medic spokesperson Gareth Naidoo says the child died while being rushed to hospital.
"There was a 2-year-old child who was in critical condition. Her hands were cut out, she had a massive laceration to her head and both arms were full of blood.
“It was shocking.”
