Mother to appear in court for attempted murder
Updated | By Neo Motloung
A 32-year-old woman will appear in the Hammarsdale
Magistrates Court on Monday for attempted murder and child abandonment.

Police allege the woman gave birth to twins in the bushes and then abandoned them in Georgedale, KwaZulu-Natal.
Provincial police spokesperson, Thembeka Mbele, says an old woman alerted the community after hearing a child crying.
"The child was taken to the hospital for medical attention," says Mbele.
She adds the other twin was not found on the scene and police are investigating the child's whereabouts.
A shallow grave was discovered at the suspect's home and small bones believed to be of a child have been taken for DNA testing.
"The suspect was indeed pregnant two years ago, and the child died."
Mbele says it is alleged the suspect mother buried the child in the shallow grave.
