Mother fighting for her life after family shooting
A mother is fighting for her life in a Johannesburg hospital after she was shot multiple times.
According to Net Care 911's Athlenda Mathe, the incident took place during the early hours of Wednesday morning.
"Netcare911 paramedics were called to Jubillee Community Hospital on Main street in Hammanskraal where a mother, child and father were found shot at their home in Hammanskraal."
She said the father was declared dead at the scene while the child died in hospital.
"Another Emergency service transported the mother and child to the hospital."
The exact detail as to how the three were shot will be subject for police investigation and comment.
