Motor trade sales increase: Stats SA

"Seasonally adjusted motor trade sales decreased by 0.3 percent in August 2014 compared with July 2014. This followed month-on-month changes of 1.2 percent in July 2014 and 2.6 percent in June 2014," Stats SA said.
Seasonally adjusted motor trade sales increased by 3.2 percent in the three months ended in August 2014, compared with the previous three months.
Motor trade sales increased by 4.1 percent in the three months that ended in August 2014, compared with the three months that ended in August 2013.
The major contributors to this increase were fuel sales (8.3 percent and contributing 2.2 percentage points), accessory sales (5.3 percent and contributing 0,9 of a percentage point), and used vehicle sales (5.1 percent and contributing 0.9 of a percentage point).
