Motorists warned of road closures in Polokwane ahead of Limpopo SOPA
The Polokwane Municipality has warned motorists of several road closures in the CBD ahead of State of the Province Address (SOPA) on Thursday.
Limpopo Premier Stanley Mathabatha is expected to deliver his last SOPA at Jack Botes Hall in Polokwane at around 09:00 am.
He served the province as the head of provincial government for two consecutive terms since 2013.
The municipality says roads will be closed from 07:00 up until 15:00 in line with the event activities.
"The following roads will be temporarily closed; Bodenstein from Biccard to Paul Kruger, Thabo Mbeki from Biccard to Paul Kruger.
"Schoeman Street between Thabo Mbeki and Bodenstein, Church between Thabo Mbeki and Rabe.
"Rabe between Market and General Joubert, Paul Kruger between Thabo Mbeki and Rabe.
"Biccard street between Thabo Mbeki street and Bodenstein street and Hans van Rensburg between Thabo Mbeki and Bodenstein," says municipal traffic spokesperson Kgaogelo Mphago.
He advised all roads users to exercise caution and patience during these temporary road closures.
