On Thursday, Judge Ronel Tolmay slapped Mkhwebane with another personal cost order.

This follows the personal cost order by the Constitutional Court in the Absa/Bankorp matter – a ruling which could end up costing her some R900 000.

Speaking outside court her spokesperson Oupa Segalwe labelled the ruling as unreasonable and unprincipled.

"Bankruptcy that the public protector is being subjected to, as a result of this judgment, is not what is important. But what is important is the issue of principle."

The public protector was ordered to personally pay 7.5% of the legal costs incurred by Casac and the DA following her investigations into Vrede dairy farm project.
