Moyo believes Old Mutual is in contempt of court

Former Old Mutual CEO Peter Moyo has lodged an urgent application to declare Old Mutual and its chairperson Trevor Manuel in contempt of court.
The insurer fired Moyo again last week amid a protracted legal spat.
The conflict stems from Moyo's failure to disclose a conflict of interest related to NMT Capital.
Earlier this month both parties headed to court in Moyo's bid to be reinstated as CEO.

On July 30, Judge Brian Mashile found that his dismissal was unlawful and ordered Old Mutual to reinstate him.
However, he was barred from work the day after his court victory, as the company filed a notice to appeal the judgment.
"We are still awaiting judgement from the honourable judge but before that Old Mutual sent a letter terminating Mr Moyo’s contract again so we've brought this information to the attention of the honourable judge as evidence of further contempt on the part of Old Mutual,” says Moyo’s lawyer Eric Mabuza.
"This time around we also want the Old Mutual board members to pay the costs from their own pockets."

The matter is expected to be heard on September third.
