Mpumalanga crash claims 3 lives
A fatal crash has claimed the lives of three women on the R40 between Umjindi and Mbombela in Mpumalanga on Friday morning.
It is believed that both vehicles lost control and overturned on a bridge.
Community safety spokesperson Moeti Mmusi says one passenger sustained serious injuries and was transported to a near hospital in Mbombela.
"The two women that died came from an SUV that was involved and the other women were driving in a Sedan."
The MEC for community safety, Gabisile Tshabalala visited the scene and has appealed to motorists to use the road with great caution over the long weekend.
