Police have urged the community to come forward with any information which may assist them in arresting a group of suspects who were involved in a cash-in-transit heist in Mpumalanga on Thursday evening.
The group of armed men accosted a G4S security vehicle travelling on the R38 between Barberton and Badplaas.
Police spokesperson Leornard Hlathi says the suspects shot at the moving vehicle, forcing it to a halt.
"The men bombed the vehicle and took an undisclosed amount of money, as well as the firearms of the security guards."
