Mercury set to rise in Mpumalanga, Limpopo

The South African Weather Service has issued a warning of very hot weather advisory in Mpumalanga and Limpopo.
This is as the country transitions into summer in the upcoming weeks.
Forecaster Wayne Venter says in the next coming days, temperatures are expected to soar in both provinces.
“The eastern parts of the country are currently under a high pressure system that is expected to keep temperatures on the hot side this week and weekend. We are expecting some really hot temperatures in places like Mpumalanga and Limpopo as well as the northern parts of Gauteng for the next few days.

“We do have an advisory for the hot weather conditions for the Highveld areas in Mpumalanga as well as the northern low veld and then the southwestern bush veld of Limpopo. That is until Saturday. And then we are expecting cooler weather to come in from Sunday into Monday.”
Temperatures are also expected to reach highs of 40 degrees Celsius in Mpumalanga and Limpopo.
“For the next few days temperatures will soar into the mid 30s in places like Limpopo and Mpumalanga and even into the 40s in Limpopo low veld and Mpumalanga lowveld.”
