Mpumalanga premier back at work after sick leave
Updated | By ANA
Mpumalanga Premier David Mabuza was expected to return to work on Tuesday after two months of being on sick leave, his spokesman Zibonel Mcwango said.

Mabuza reportedly collapsed in September and has been recuperating at home. Community Safety MEC Vusi Shongwe has been acting premier since September 9.
“The premier suffered fatigue and stayed at home to recuperate. He will be welcomed by at least 2000 people, who include religious leaders, business people and ANC members at the provincial legislature,” said Mcwango. “We are waiting for him.”
Mabuza is reportedly part of the so-called “Premier League” in the ANC, said to include North West Premier Supra Mahumapelo and Free State Premier Ace Magashule.
The Premier League was reportedly working behind the scenes to influence the succession of President Jacob Zuma, whose term ends in 2017.
The group has been accused of engineering the election of North West’s Collen Maine as the ANC Youth League (ANCYL) president at the organisation’s elective held in September. - ANA
