Updated | By Lesetja Makhura
Police in Mpumalanga are investigating three cases of murder after a taxi boss and his two bodyguards were fatally shot.

The three were killed in what police believe was a drive-by-shooting in Rakwena street in Botleng, Delmas, on Saturday night.
Police spokesperson Donald Mdhluli says a woman was also wounded during the incident and was taken to a hospital.
"From what has been collected through preliminary investigation is that the 34-year-old man was being guarded by the two bodyguards who were driving behind him and both vehicles then came across armed suspects who were driving in a vehicle which has not been described and they started opening fire according to the allegations, fatally shooting the three and injuring one woman," he explains.
The motive for the shooting is not yet known.
