Msimanga inspects Tshwane Disaster Management Centre
Updated | By Suné du Toit
Tshwane Mayor Solly Msimanga paid a visit to the city's Disaster Management Centre to determine its state of readiness in dealing with heavy rains and flooding.

The multi-disciplinary operations centre was set up on Wednesday amid the heavy rain and flooding in the city. The SA Weather Service has warned that the rain might continue until Sunday.
Msimanga says the city needs to ensure that the risk to residents is minimised.
He says it's important for members of the public to assist them.
"It is important for them to adhere to our call to not drive where they are not supposed to be driving, but also to stay clear and also to perhaps help us, when it's not raining, to clear the debris," says Msimanga.
