Mthatha police investigate double murder
Eastern Cape police are investigating a double murder after a shooting incident that left an elderly couple dead in their driveway.
Police spokesperson, Colonel Mzukisi Fatyela, said that 64-year-old man and his 56-year-old wife were gunned down in their driveway at Mqube extension in Mthatha on Wednesday evening.
Fatyela said the motive for the murders was unknown at this stage.
Both the woman and man sustained gunshot wounds to their upper body.
No arrests had yet been made.
