Updated | By Sibahle Motha
A municipal hall and a guard house belonging to the Moretele local municipality has been set alight by protestors.

North West police spokesperson Sabata Mokgwabone says there is no truth to reports that the municipal offices were also set alight.
"We can confirm that we have reports indicating that a municipal hall and the guard house have been burned.
"The places are managed by Moretele local municipality but not in the same building as the municipality offices are," he says.
The protest is allegedly related service delivery.
"Members of the community, the ones who are protesting are the ones who can give you an answer on why they are doing this. When this thing started, initiaaly people were demanding water.”
So far no arrests have been made nor any injuries reported.
Mokgwabone has also pleaded with community members to demonstrate peacefully and not to resort to violence.
