Former Mpumalanga MEC for Agriculture Mandla Msibi wants a meeting with
Police Minister Bheki Cele on the killings in the province.

Msibi , who has been charged for two counts of murder and one count for attempted murder, was speaking to his supporters outside the Nelspruit Magistrate’s Court Tuesday.
This follows his release on bail for R20 000.
Msibi told supporters that many people have been killed but police are failing to investigate.
“Since the start of the nomination process more than 10 people have been killed. And these police (officers) who can investigate are doing nothing about it. There are cases that are known, and they are not being investigated. I’m going to request a meeting with Minister Bheki Cele where I will give detailed accounts of these issues.”
He told his supporters that he accepts all decision taken against him but believes there was abuse of state power with his dismissal by Mpumalanga Premier Refilwe Mtshweni-Tsipane.
“The decision of the provincial executive committee of the ANC for me to step aside, is accepted unconditionally. The decision by the honorable premier to dismiss me is accepted. But I’m going to speak about that decision, the abuse of state power.”
He added that he was also going to request a meeting with the ANC national officials, to give a detailed account why he believes that he’s being targeted as he claims there are people trying to kill him.
Msibi’s case has been postponed until 6 December.
