The hands which held hers at the altar when she was just a teenager, are the same hands which left her battered and bruised with blood dripping from her face.

Venetia Orgill wed at the age of 17.
The Mitchell's Plain woman was married just a few hours when her husband first raised his hands against her.
One slap turned into a vicious cycle that Venetia says was initially paralysing.
Now, she uses her experience and the courage she had to leave - to help those who find themselves in abusive relationships to get out and discover their power.
