Former president Jacob Zuma said on
Monday that his supporters will continue to vote for the African National
Congress (ANC).

The local government elections are being held on Monday as South African citizens cast their votes in the hope of improved service delivery.
Zuma, who voted in his hometown of Nkandla in KwaZulu-Natal, said it’s no secret that he voted for the ANC.
“I voted and voted well. And I voted for the ANC - that's not a secret. I didn't tell anyone not to vote for ANC.”
Answering questions from media, the former president explained that his supporters know what to do.
“My supporters will vote for ANC, there's no difference. If there are those who didn't know (that), I call on them to vote, because the ANC is here to stay.”
He urged people to vote, but warned them not to be confused about the political issues occurring due to individuals within the party.
“I want people to go out and vote, it’s very important. They mustn't be led astray by politics and its issues. The problems of the ANC have been caused by individuals, and they are not important. What is important is a united party.”
