Myeni no-show at delinquency hearing
Updated | By Lulutho Mkosi
Former South African Airways (SAA) chairperson Dudu Myeni has been given until Wednesday afternoon to file a substantive postponement application to the high court in Pretoria.

The Organisation Undoing Tax Abuse (Outa) and the SAA Pilots’ Association (SAAPA) is attempting to have her declared a delinquent director.
The two organisations have taken Myeni to court over what they believed to have been several questionable multi-million rand deals and for putting the airline under financial distress.
However, Myeni failed to arrive at court proceedings on Tuesday as she claimed that she could not afford legal costs.

Outa and SAAPA’s legal representative Rasheed Pandor claims Myeni tried to call the judge to inform the court of her absence.
“Daniel Mantsha appeared on her behalf this morning. He appeared not as her attorney of record, he appeared according to him to ‘relay the message’ that Ms Myeni could not attend due to affordability.”
