OUTA case against Dudu Myeni to be heard on Tuesday
Updated | By Lulutho Mkosi
The Organisation Undoing Tax Abuse's (OUTA) will bring an application in the North Gauteng High Court in Pretoria on Tuesday to declare former chairperson of South African Airways (SAA), Dudu Myeni, a delinquent director.
The organisation says Myeni's conduct during her tenure at SAA from December 2012 to October 2017 was distressful for the airline.
Outa CEO Wayne Duvenage says an actionable case has been brought forward that has been placed on the court roll for a month in which Myeni will come under cross-examination.
"We decided together with the South African Pilots Association to lay a case, a charge of delinquent director. We wanted it to be declared a civil case."
"Now if that is the case, she cannot serve on boards and do the kind of damage she was doing at SAA," adds Duvenage.
OUTA adds that Dudu Myeni has vowed to appear in court on Tuesday as she was not ready for case to proceed on Monday.
