N3 at Ashburton partially reopened following tanker crash
Updated | By Newswatch
If your travel plans today include a trip via the N3 - you'll need to rethink them if you're making your way to Durban from Pietermaritzburg.
There has been a disastrous crash involving a tanker between Ashburton and Lynnfield Park.
It was transporting LPG - a highly flammable gas - when it overturned late on Friday evening, resulting in a closure on both sides of the N3 in that area.

Newswatch understands the Maritzburg bound side of the route has been reopened and traffic is flowing smoothly again.
The Durban side is still closed as fire officials are still busy at the scene and traffic's being diverted onto the R103.
