The parties met to discuss the theft of foreign currency at President Cyril Ramaphosa's Phala Phala farm in Limpopo.

This after one of the suspects fled to Namibia after the robbery.

In a statement issued by Ndeitunga Thursday, he said Namibian police identified individuals, bank accounts, and other properties.

There was no further response from the South African police.

"A preservation order was issued, and an official request was sent to South Africa through the Ministry of Justice to confirm whether or not a crime had been registered there. However, South African authorities did not respond, resulting in the termination of the preservation order and the release of the assets."

The Democratic Alliance believes the latest development proves President Ramaphosa has something to hide.

“Clearly, President Ramaphosa has something to hide. He needs to stop hiding behind the false cover of a “pending investigation” and explain to the nation why he failed to report this massive theft and why he used state resources to try retrieve his dirty dollars," said DA leader John Steenhuisen.

“This Phala Phala issue is a big red flag to investors as is state capture, an issue which will not go away until President Ramaphosa releases the final Zondo report.”
