Nathaniel Julies family heartbroken after former cop is granted bail
Updated | By Gaopalelwe Phalaetsile
The family of slain Eldorado Park teen Nathaniel Julies have spoke of their heartbreak after former police officer Voster Netshiongolo was granted bail in the Protea Magistrate’s Court on Friday.
Netshiongolo is one of three police officers who are facing charged linked to Julies’ murder.
He is accused of assisting two others in concealing the evidence.
Julies was gunned down in August just outside his home in Eldorado Park.
He was 16-years-old and living with Down Syndrome.
"He is now going on bail and he is going to share Christmas with his family but we as a family cannot share our Christmas with Nathaniel.
"Why did they not keep him in jail so that he can answer for his deeds that night," says Julies’ father Clint Smith.

Smith says the family is still struggling to cope with Julies’ death, but they console each other through prayer.
The case will be back in court on January 27.
