Nehawu still consulting members on Sars wage proposal

The South African Revenue Services (Sars) says it's wage strike has come to an end, after members of the Public Servants Association (PSA) signed the multi-year wage agreement on Monday.

However, National Education, Health and Allied Workers' Union (Nehawu) says it's still awaiting a final mandate from it's members.
Workers kicked off their nationwide wage strike at all Sars branches and ports of entry on Thursday.
Sars' Spokesperson, Takalani Musekwa, says they are expecting Nehawu to report back to the tax collector later on Tuesday.
"In regard to them, we are expecting this could be concluded as soon as possible," says Musekwa.
Early on Tuesday morning, Nehawu spokesperson, Khaya Xaba, said the union was still in the process of having to consult members in three outstanding provinces.
"We are not in a hurry, we will be taking our time to ensure that we speak to every member to make sure every member has a voice," says Xaba.
Nehawu also hopes the matter will be concluded on Tuesday.
