Nest Park resident tells of tornado horror
Updated | By Olivia Phalaetsile
Nest Park resident Pauline Parker
says when the tornado hit her home after 5.00pm
on Tuesday it was like something out of a movie.
Parker, who lives on the East Rand, says she and her husband were watching the news about the Phumalani Mall in Tembisa damaged by the tornado, when it started raining, with strong winds and hail.
“The next thing it was like something out of a movie, you just saw windows flying past, trees were flying all over the show and roof tiles. It’s not something you expect,” she says.
Parker says nobody in her home was injured.
